Project 365: September 19th through September 25th

September 19th: This guy came running across the floor at me..showing his giant teeth...trying to eat me...until my daring husband dispatched his ass..

September 20th: Apparently the chickens think the black plant containers mean take out...so they ate the new pansies and violas before I could even plant them in my clay pots.

September 21st: A perfect red rose in my garden.

September 22nd: Gabriel claims Scott...my gay cat loooooooves gentlemen callers.

September 22nd: We have the honor of sharing our wedding anniversary with Brandy and Scott. We had a mini (although late...lol) celebration (I cannot believe a year has passed already!) for a group of us throwing them a surprise wedding where Heidi officiated to go along with their signing. The night with Scott, Brandy, Heidi and Rob ruled! We drank a bottle of Frizzante (which is like the best thing EVER to be put into a wineglass) bought at the wedding site (Willamette Valley Vineyards) and ate pieces from the top of their amazing wedding cake made by Missy.

September 23rd: Me and Jen went to the Beaverton Library to watch my awesome neighbor Paul star in a super funny play titled Three Murders and Its Only Monday! See it if you can - I laughed my ass off!

September 24th: Jason and Kelly rule for sending the best care package ever...

So, we stored it in the freezer and did as we were told....so, it rests under the beer steins, next to the hash browns an above the leftover from scratch made red beans and rice...

September 25th: Rob and Delilah hanging out during our BBQ. Notice the gorgeous blue skys - perfect day for BBQ and croquet - it rocked.

A day of tasting...

And now for something fun. On Sunday we wandered to wine country with four of our closest friends beginning at Eola Hills Vineyards for their signature brunch (which I highly recommend though you need to make reservations). We moved on to wine tasting at Cubanisimo Vineyards and dropped by Brian and David's gorgeous home in Salem for a bit. We separated from the boys and headed to Willamette Valley Vineyards to pick up our normal shipment with them, do a spot of tasting, take in the amazing view before hitting up Los Baez back in Salem for some tasty Mexican food. It was a lovely day...and here is the evidence...

Memorial Day specials early and I walked away with a case and a half plus a bottle of Pinot Gris for $75...no joke. You can see their brunch set up in the background which is what we started the day with. Eola Hills Vineyards.

This Pinot Noir was pretty amazing. Eola Hills Vineyards.

This was in the parking lot of Eola Hills Vineyards on our way out, along with an amazing array of old and new corvettes. Patrick and I fought over who got to steal it.

Gorgeous grounds. Cubanisimo Vineyards.

Loved these fans everywhere. Cubanisimo Vineyards.

Their Pinot Noirs were to die for at Cubanisimo Vineyards.

Notice the bowl of dried plantanes.

Bees and lupines. Taken at Brian and David's gorgeous home in Salem.

Their beautiful new Japanese Maple.

Winston Churchhill the wonder dog.

I am so in love with this bird feeder.

Winston looooooves gardening...

Spotted dick - or proof that Winston is truly British!

Willamette Valley Vineyards signature shirts.

Willamette Valley Vineyards tasting flight. As a guild member I get the "reserve" tasting which is the uber good one for free every time for whomever I bring with me too but honestly they just let me taste about anything I want so we usually jump back and forth between the reserve and the standard and stumble away.

Willamette Valley Vineyards went all fancy and got new stemware.

Los Baez fajitas after a long day of vineyard and house hopping FTW.

The coolest quarter machine evah!

Hello, My name is Heidi and my hair is WAY bigger than yours.... This is what happens when Heidi's hair is twisted and wrapped for 24 hours and then let free!

Project 365: May 16th through May 22nd

May 16th: A pile of the seeds I planted last year grew up with my white currant and apple mint in the back of this picture.

May 17th: Bleeding heart

May 18th: Bleeding heart and Delilah - I fear my photos this week were pretty boring since I was ill much of the week.

May 19th: This is my lime mint and you can see the white lace cap hydrangea in the background.

May 20th: Yuki hiding in the closet

May 21st: I replanted the garden behind the sink since the herbs died due to lack of light. So, now we have houseplants which like low light.

May 22nd: Brunch and wine shopping at Eola Vineyards. We got a case and a half plus a bottle = 19 total bottles for $75 thanks to them giving us Memorial Day pricing and three different coupon discounts...seriously...
