Project 365: February 13th through February 19th

February 13th: One of my new rings...flower power...

February 14th: Assessing the yard which needs a weeding something fierce. These are some anemone bulbs about to come up and you can see violas in the background.

February 15th: An example of me and Jen's texts to each other...we are both huge asparagus fans so I send her things like this when I find the super thin asparagus at Fred Meyer for such a cheap price.

February 16th: Reorganizing my dressing area. Starting from the left I found a amber glass and metal hanger which fits my fancy scarfs, mask and headbands well freeing up tons of space on my dresser. I added some nice hooks beside the mirror for all my necklaces since they were all much too long for my jewelry box which is in the center. Patrick added two floating shelves above the mirror which freed more space also on the dresser which I added my vases to etc. I added my 'M' hook to the right side of the mirror to hang a few more scarves from and hung more necklaces under that. I found a trash can which matched all the new cups and such I got to fit my makeup brudhes and such in. And finally I found a fleur de lis wreath door hook which we cannot use anywhere and just had which works perfect on the bedroom door which I now hang all my shawls from. Patrick was giggling that I made my side of the room all girlie.

Visiting my friend Lilith for some girl time...this is one of her sweet kitties who adores me.

February 17th: Mexican Trains Dominoes crack...on my way to Lilith's the night prior I grabbed this set and was delighted to discover my $22 bought a very nice game indeed.

Late in the evening Jen joined us for dinner. Patrick made this amazing angel food cake based on an Alton Brown recipe which we topped with macerated strawberries and fresh whip cream. We all agreed it was the best angel food cake we have ever had hands down.

February 18th: Patrick's amazing mead has now been bottled for 23 bottles total. He corked it all and added foils. We are now just waiting for the labels.

February 19th: Sushi lunch with Clinton, Annie and Jen.

Project 365: October 3rd through October 9th

October 3rd: Hanging out over at my friend Lilith's working on my wreath.

October 4th: Finishing my new autumn wreath.

October 5th: A random sunflower popped up in the yard.

October 6th: Macha the viking squirrel...

October 7th: I ordered a pile of bulbs through the mail awhile ago and they finally arrived.

October 8th: Spencer and Patrick made another batch of beer. Delilah and the other girls REALLY dig on the spent grains from the process.

October 9th: A snack style lunch with salami, cheese, crackers and grapes...yum

Project 365: April 25th through May 1st

April 25th: BEER! We spent the evening bottling the Irish Stout Patrick made and I learned about beer and the chemistry behind it.

April 26th: There is something truly beautiful about wild grass and its coloration.

April 27th: Shouldn't M&Ms have hit this action like years ago during the whole Star Wars craze? I mean, they are super cute and all but it was just strange and random or is there some new Star Wars thing I did not hear about?

April 28th: Take Your Child To Work Day - Jack the Dog, our corporate fraud mascot...HUGE hit with the kids who all wanted to hug him. Hell, the costume is so cute that I wanted to hug him :)

April 28th: Early birthday celebration dinner with Jen, Richard and Patrick. And my loot - or some of it beyond all the flower deliveries. Jen brought me bottles of wine, a katana charm for my phone, a pocket ninja, candle holders to replace ones that broke, nesting ninjas, a ninja letter opener and ninja cookie cutters...I seriously was squeeing VERY loudly... And then there is a few of the cards which started rolling in...

April 29th: Hanging with Amoree and Dylan who are seriously such awesome humans - this friends is a Captain Pacard earl grey chocolate muffin with chocolate sauce totally English style when the clock struck midnight officially becoming my birthday. And we continued to watch the royal wedding. ♥

April 29th: Lunch with Jen at Lupe's Escape...YUM!

April 29th: Formal dinner at Amadeus for my birthday.

April 29th: Formal dinner at Amadeus for my birthday.

The sunset view behind where I was sitting.

Love the chandeliers in the reflection.

Blowing the candle out on birthday cake #2 which was actually a silk torte of YUM! Thank you Chris for snagging the shot!

April 30th: And cake #3, made by Jen and described by one party goer as a item that changed her life...lol... Chocolate cake with dark chocolate genache and mint truffle shavings from this amazing candy store in Sedona Arizona that Jen specially ordered them from knowing they are my favorite.

I tried to get a shot so you can see the black edible glitter but alas it does not show up - the cake was truly gorgeous! Though the chandelier is pretty awesome in and of itself.

The first incision....with my Mike Meyers knife...

May 1st: I came out of my front door to run off to lunch and a movie with Ms Jen and what do I find? Michele and Greg started their morning (hungover no less!) running to a nursery and picking up a plant I have been lusting after since Aaron S. told me about it (Mr Aaron works at Dennis' 7 Dees and we geek about plants a lot) and leaving it on my porch...seriously, can I just go on for awhile about the awesome people I have in my life and how much they spoil me!!?? Heuchera is my favorite shade dweller though - I sort of collect them and already have Georgia Peach, Lime Marmalade, Caramel and Coral Bells. The list of my wants is, well all of them but the two new ones I wanted SUPER bad are Peach Flambe and Obsidian....though Sweet Tea is also pretty amazing :)

April 5th: Snip, snip... Cutting out the International passports for the Eco Fair I am putting on at work at the end of the month.

April 6th: Patrick's Irish Stout brewing up a storm in our shower.

April 7th: My co-workers rule...

April 8th: Nightly ritual...loves me some salad with lots of stuff in it properly cut up with my Mike Meyers knife...

April 9th: A trip to Farmington Gardens when I, amazingly enough, did not overspend...for once...

April 10th: My new daffodils finally came up this year which I adore...love the peach...viva la Spring
