Project 365: June 4th through June 10th

June 4th: A standard run to Lowes for stone and a few clearance plants - who can resist a curly filbert for $19.99 at 50% off. The far left closest plant I had to get - a humingbird was going crazy for it in the plant center! June 5th: After doing some shopping Macha lays claim. Would you move her? Seriously - this is what pure joy looks like....not pictured is her kneading the box with her little paw. June 6th: My lupines began blooming in the backyard. June 6th: And I finally finished (after a week pretty solid) weeding the front yard. June 6th: Here is the rest of the front yard which I just finished weeding. June 6th: The front of the house. June 7th: Patrick finished the sun garden and new sitting area. And, believe it or not, those are daisies in the back. June 8th: Running to downtown Portland. June 8th: The courthouse - meeting up with our lawyer. June 8th: Apprently someone was in such a hurry he ran right out of his shoes. June 9th: Our friends Derek and Mike married each other in our backyard. This was their cake topper which represents two sould from different worlds. June 10th: I rescued this rose from my awesome mechanic's yard and now it is looking amazing. June 10th: Look at that color!

I had the honor of attending my friend Marissa's beautiful wedding at the Gray Gables Estate in Portland which is just an amazing place. I have known the bride since she was a young teenager so seeing her gorgeous smile and knowing how happy she is with this great guy and his lovely daughter is truly something special.

As I said the grounds really were pretty amazing.





The inside was decorated fabulously as well...

Project 365: September 26th through October 2nd

September 26th: My garden and the pond.


September 27th: Hobo spider found between my house and my rose bush.


September 28th: Pumpkins!


September 29th: My new beautiful fern.


September 30th: Evidence of chickens in my hollyhocks...


October 1st: Visiting Matt and Christina in Yamhill Oregon.


October 2nd: Marissa's wedding at Gray Gables in Portland Oregon.

Project 365: September 19th through September 25th

September 19th: This guy came running across the floor at me..showing his giant teeth...trying to eat me...until my daring husband dispatched his ass..


September 20th: Apparently the chickens think the black plant containers mean take out...so they ate the new pansies and violas before I could even plant them in my clay pots.


September 21st: A perfect red rose in my garden.


September 22nd: Gabriel claims Scott...my gay cat loooooooves gentlemen callers.


September 22nd: We have the honor of sharing our wedding anniversary with Brandy and Scott. We had a mini (although late...lol) celebration (I cannot believe a year has passed already!) for a group of us throwing them a surprise wedding where Heidi officiated to go along with their signing. The night with Scott, Brandy, Heidi and Rob ruled! We drank a bottle of Frizzante (which is like the best thing EVER to be put into a wineglass) bought at the wedding site (Willamette Valley Vineyards) and ate pieces from the top of their amazing wedding cake made by Missy.


September 23rd: Me and Jen went to the Beaverton Library to watch my awesome neighbor Paul star in a super funny play titled Three Murders and Its Only Monday! See it if you can - I laughed my ass off!


September 24th: Jason and Kelly rule for sending the best care package ever...




So, we stored it in the freezer and did as we were told....so, it rests under the beer steins, next to the hash browns an above the leftover from scratch made red beans and rice...


September 25th: Rob and Delilah hanging out during our BBQ. Notice the gorgeous blue skys - perfect day for BBQ and croquet - it rocked.

Project 365: July 4th through July 10th

July 4th: My strawberry marscapone cake with Jen's petit fours in the background.


July 5th: Someone had a bad 4th...this was the car I parked next to coming in to start my work week...notice the evidence of it being completely side swiped and the barely hanging on mirror.


July 6th: Dinner at Abby's Table with Heidi and Robert. This was the first course: Dosa with Lemon-Balm Coconut Chutney, Mint-Onion Relish and Grilled Garlic Scapes.


July 6th: Dinner at Abby's Table with Heidi and Robert. Second course: Salad with Fava Beans, Cucumbers, scallion, Amaranth, Gem Lettuce and Marigolds with Yogurt-Dill Style Dressing.






July 7th: Stir fry dinner, sake, shumai and ninja movies with Clinton and Kristina.


July 8th: Picking cherries off of our cherry trees.


July 9th: Shannon's rock star bridal shower at The Night Light Lounge. Fantastic raspberry kamakazi and those cupcakes by Ms Amber Rose were divine and saucy!


July 10th: Late night at Dante's with everyone for US Air Guitar Championship - it was seriously full of awesome!
