November 11th, 2011

One of our dearest friends Rob's birthday is in the middle of November and started a new tradition by celebrating his birthday in Seattle to see Evil Dead the Musical which is hosted by Arts West each year on his birthday weekend. Last year we wanted desperately to go but we had already purchased tickets to see the salmon run at the Thyme Garden. This year though we were able to join everyone. Here is our first evening in Seattle for the show.

This is the ceiling of the gorgeous hotel we stayed at downtown.

Close ups of a flower arrangement in the lobby I snapped a few shots of while waiting for our car to get brought up from valet parking.

Robert holding the worst tasting bottle of wine in the universe seriously but Ben and Rachel had to buy one since it was the Evil Dead wine!

There was some art work displayed in the hall we perused while waiting for the show to start.

Interesting crotch shot...

And this painting looks EXACTLY like my kitty Yuki...

They leave these to catch bloody feet a bit before you walk into the slick hallway.

About to begin...

Notice the other area covered in plastic...

And here is some of the cast we got to hang out and chat with after the show. They feel in love with us when they found out that we all had driven up from Portland to see the show.

And back to the hotel...

Project 365: September 19th through September 25th

September 19th: This guy came running across the floor at me..showing his giant teeth...trying to eat me...until my daring husband dispatched his ass..

September 20th: Apparently the chickens think the black plant containers mean take out...so they ate the new pansies and violas before I could even plant them in my clay pots.

September 21st: A perfect red rose in my garden.

September 22nd: Gabriel claims Scott...my gay cat loooooooves gentlemen callers.

September 22nd: We have the honor of sharing our wedding anniversary with Brandy and Scott. We had a mini (although late...lol) celebration (I cannot believe a year has passed already!) for a group of us throwing them a surprise wedding where Heidi officiated to go along with their signing. The night with Scott, Brandy, Heidi and Rob ruled! We drank a bottle of Frizzante (which is like the best thing EVER to be put into a wineglass) bought at the wedding site (Willamette Valley Vineyards) and ate pieces from the top of their amazing wedding cake made by Missy.

September 23rd: Me and Jen went to the Beaverton Library to watch my awesome neighbor Paul star in a super funny play titled Three Murders and Its Only Monday! See it if you can - I laughed my ass off!

September 24th: Jason and Kelly rule for sending the best care package ever...

So, we stored it in the freezer and did as we were told....so, it rests under the beer steins, next to the hash browns an above the leftover from scratch made red beans and rice...

September 25th: Rob and Delilah hanging out during our BBQ. Notice the gorgeous blue skys - perfect day for BBQ and croquet - it rocked.

Project 365: May 2nd through May 8th

May 2nd: Selecting cheeses for fondue night with Richard and Jen.

May 3rd: A birthday present from Jen...my favorite candies which are the French Truffle Mints from The Cerreta Candy Company in Sedona Arizona that she specially ordered for me.

May 4th: Line numero 1...the DMV to replace my expired license for my lunch break. And this is the DMV "express".

May 4th: Line number 2...the post office to get a PO Box after work...that I had to wait in twice.

May 4th: I came home to find that Macha's storage stash of weird random things included severed fingers.

May 5th: Leaving on a jet plane...and discovering that one of the "perks" to first class travel includes your own floor mat....ohhhhhh.....

May 6th: The Grove in LA for shopping with Patrick, Rob and John.

May 6th: I am soooo in the wrong business. Here is a weight loss clinic, medical marijuana facility, botox clinic and you can get vitamin B shots!

May 7th: Black Market at the Double Tree for Bats Day in the Fun Park. Wow - over 50 vendors and it was crazy! It was also crazy warm because the Double Tree had the AC off for several hours.

May 7th: A World of Color starting up at CA Adventure Theme Park. To the left you can see their ferris wheel and the right the gazebo.

May 8th: An absolutely stunning photo of Walt and Lilly Disney from the Lilly Belle which is Walt Disney's personal train car we got to ride thanks to our friend Brittany who works at Disneyland.
