I had the honor of attending my friend Marissa's beautiful wedding at the Gray Gables Estate in Portland which is just an amazing place. I have known the bride since she was a young teenager so seeing her gorgeous smile and knowing how happy she is with this great guy and his lovely daughter is truly something special.
As I said the grounds really were pretty amazing.
The inside was decorated fabulously as well...

Project 365: October 17th through October 23rd
October 17th: Macha tests out the new candy dish getting into the spirit of Halloween.
October 18th: Fingers crossed! My cucumber needs to get just a touch bigger and I can harvest it. If that happens than I technically will have had a vegetable garden since I also was able to harvest tomatoes from the new front garden!
October 19th: Purple clematis
October 20th: SICK! Why oh why do they insist on making flu meds so difficult to get into - I mean seriously...how cruel are drug companies??!! I had to use the sword on my keychain to get it open.
October 21st: Decorating for Dias de los Muertos.
October 22nd: Cleaning pumpkin seeds for roasting for the pumpkin carving party.
October 23rd: Pumpkin carving all complete.

Project 365: October 10th through October 20th
October 10th: Francesca and Ginger taking a coffee break...
October 11th: SEEDS! I spent the day, well, not the whole day, organizing my seeds so that in the early Spring I am all ready to plant them immediately.
October 12th: Little fella... So, Beth Adams and I went to Farmington Gardens together plant shopping and she bought this gorgeous and huge wall planter filled with succulents. This little fella broke off one of her plants in the car so she smiled and stuck him in one of my pots insisting I plant him. Well, he has doubled in size :)
October 13th: These stickers in the American Red Cross bus always freak me out a touch.
October 13th: A sort of self portrait. The joke was one of the vampires helping me was a former Marine Sergent so one of her co workers on the bus stocked them full of Navy footballs to piss her off.
October 14th: Leftovers from my lunch with Katy - scallops, lobster tail and some crab...
October 15th: The apple festival at Portland Nursery with Patrick Ireland. There were over fifty varieties of apples and a pile of pears as well.
October 16th: I made canned apple pie filling so we can have amazing apple pies for Thanksgiving and Yule.
October 16th: Pumpkin Patch at Sauvie Island with Spencer, Christina, Patrick, Jennifer and Scott.

Moonviewing...
Me and my husband Patrick went to an event on September 12, 2011 called
O-Tsukimi Moonviewing at the Japanese Gardens in Portland Oregon.
Entrance
You can see the light in the lantern. The Moonviewing is one of the only events where they light all the lanterns in the gardens for everyone to enjoy.
Just before moon rise.
Koto Zither by Mitsuki Dazai while we ate some tasty food and sipped saki.
Shakuhachi Bamboo Flute by Kodo Araki VI was amazing and very haunting.
Here is the moon rise. We also watched a Japanese tea ceremony by Kashintei Kai.

Project 365: October 3rd through October 9th
October 3rd: Hanging out over at my friend Lilith's working on my wreath.
October 4th: Finishing my new autumn wreath.
October 5th: A random sunflower popped up in the yard.
October 6th: Macha the viking squirrel...
October 7th: I ordered a pile of bulbs through the mail awhile ago and they finally arrived.
October 8th: Spencer and Patrick made another batch of beer. Delilah and the other girls REALLY dig on the spent grains from the process.
October 9th: A snack style lunch with salami, cheese, crackers and grapes...yum
